Hi there, my name is Scott and, like the intro said, I am the copywriter for the Little Green Agency. I’ve been a copywriter for over 10 years, creating content for a huge variety of different websites, everything from doctors to lawyers to auto repair stores to humorous pop culture magazines and much more. While my primary professional work is writing for commercial websites, my background is mainly in journalism, with additional experience and education in fiction writing. All of these areas come into play when creating your website.
Our philosophy regarding web content for our clients is simple: it should be clear, informative and engaging.
First, we approach your content from a journalistic standpoint. Your customers need the facts – where your farmers’ market is located, what your hours are, what types of produce and products are available, how your CSA works, etc. It’s our job to present the information about your organization in a clear and informative way.
Next, we approach the content from a fiction writing standpoint. This doesn’t mean we make things up – it simply means we make the writing lively and easy to read. In a word, we make the content engaging. Your website will be a comfortable, pleasant place that reflects the real people who work in your organization.
Of course, nobody knows your business as well as you do. And in order for your organization’s personality to shine through, first we’re going to have to get to know you. That’s why we start with a survey and, if necessary, a phone interview. While we understand the general mechanics of farmers’ markets and CSAs, we want your customers to get a sense of you, personally. Who are the people behind the produce? What sparked the passion which led you to create your organization? What makes your market or CSA different and unique? We’ll help you figure all this stuff out with a customized survey.
But we don’t stop there. Because we’re a small shop, we offer a more personalized approach. You’ll get the opportunity to go over the content and help it develop. Your organization is one-of-a-kind, and your website will reflect that.
Our individual services vary. We can create personalized content for either the existing pages in the template or for completely new custom pages of your choosing. We can even “spruce up” your existing content, if you like what you already have but feel that it just needs a polish.
No matter what, it’s important your website has a regular infusion of new, fresh content. Blog updates and social media updates are a great way to let your customers know what’s new, and the regular introduction of new content also helps the search engines find you better. I’ve been writing my whole life, and writing professionally for over a decade. When Troy (who, incidentally, I’ve known since the 3rd grade) and Tara (who I’ve known for many years as well) approached me with this project, I immediately joined up. It’s a great feeling knowing I can use my professional training to help do something lasting and worthwhile. I truly think we’re a talented team — between the three of each, we have experience and expertise in every facet of website creation.
Thank you so much and we look forward to helping you put your green organization online!
